Offer a girl in Benin the gift of one year of tutoring and mentoring to help her thrive in secondary school and higher education so she can take the lead in changing Africa.
Your gift will provide a girl who is an orphan, disabled, affected by HIV/AIDS, or otherwise disadvantaged, with a supportive haven where she can complete her homework, interact with female peers, and explore personal hygeine and reproductive health strategies, critical to reducing the spread of HIV and AIDS. The program encourages community and family member commitment, essential to the long-term sustainability of the girls' education.
Batonga was founded by Benin-based Grammy award winner Angelique Kidjo, who says, "For me, education is so crucial because everything goes with it, like healthy politics and development. Mentorship gives the tools and confidence to put education to good use. Young people are the hope of my continent. When I watch the children of Africa, all dreams seem possible."
70% of your gift goes directly to our partner organization. The remaining funds go to the gift of compassion envelope, packaging, and other foundation overhead.
