Housing Works

Since 1990, Housing Works has provided housing, healthcare, advocacy, job training, and vital support to the community of 30,000 New Yorkers with HIV/AIDS who are either homeless or live in severely inadequate housing.

Through innovative advocacy and direct service programs, Housing Works reaches the most vulnerable and under-served among those affected by the AIDS epidemic in New York City.

Housing Works provides a comprehensive range of services – including employment opportunities in its own businesses – designed to help individuals gain stability, independence, and dignity, and to improve their overall health.

Housing Works is dedicated to developing and refining a self-sustaining model of housing, employment, and advocacy for homeless people with HIV/AIDS, and to provide shelter for the homeless.
